02 · What stands out
What stands out in the Meridian Funded rulebook
Three things separate this rulebook from the rest of the index. There is no consistency requirement anywhere in the evaluation, and none at all on Instant Zero. The 1-Step maximum loss trails only until it reaches the starting balance, then locks, so profit is banked rather than defended. And the payout commitment carries its own penalty clause: if processing exceeds twelve hours during London business hours, the next payout is increased by 10%.
Two details still deserve reading before you buy. The consistency rule does exist on funded accounts, at 25% on Step models and 15% on Instant Funding, so a trader whose profit lands in one session should plan the last trades of a cycle. And the daily limit is measured on the higher of balance or equity at the 5:00 PM New York reset, which is the stricter of the two possible readings even though it is stated plainly.
03 · Max loss
Meridian Funded maximum drawdown rules
Where the account dies. Read the type column before the number, because a wide static floor beats a narrow trailing one in almost every realistic sequence of trades.
| Firm and plan | Max loss | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded 1-Step | 6% | Trailing, locks at starting balance |
04 · Daily loss
Meridian Funded daily loss limit and reset
A single session's allowance. The published percentage is the headline, the basis and the reset hour are what you actually trade against.
| Firm | Daily loss limit | Reset / basis |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | 3% to 5%; 2.5% on Instant Zero | 5:00 PM New York, higher of balance or equity |
05 · Consistency
Meridian Funded consistency rule
The only common rule that can punish a trader for winning too well. Its shape matters more than its number: a best day cap and a best trade cap are different products.
| Firm | Rule | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | 25% (Step funded), 15% (Instant Funding) | Funded accounts only; none on Instant Zero |
06 · Minimum days
Meridian Funded minimum trading days
The pace floor. Read it together with the phase count, because four days on a two phase model is eight days before funding is possible.
| Firm | During the evaluation | Before a funded payout |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | 3 days per phase; none on Instant Funding and Instant Zero | Step: 5 days. Instant Funding: 5 days of +0.5%. Instant Zero: none |
07 · Trading rules
Meridian Funded news, weekend and automation rules
Three permissions that decide whether a strategy is possible here: trading a release, carrying a position through the weekend, and running code.
| Firm | News trading | Weekend holding | EAs and bots |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | Free in evaluation; funded profit capped at 1% of balance within 5 minutes of high-impact news | Allowed; weekend gap rule on funded accounts | Custom EAs allowed; no HFT, arbitrage or “challenge passer” EAs |
08 · Payouts
Meridian Funded payout rules and cycle
Processing commitments and first request eligibility. A commitment backed by a stated penalty is worth more than one stated as an average.
| Firm | Processing promise | When you can request |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | Within 12 hours, or +10% on the next payout (London business hours) | Every 14 days on Step accounts; on demand on Instant Funding and Instant Zero |
09 · Split
Meridian Funded profit split rules
Your share of funded profit. Almost every firm advertises a ceiling, so the figure worth comparing is the rate that applies to payout number one.
| Firm | Default split | How the top split is reached |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | 90% on Step models and Instant Funding; 80% on Instant Zero | Up to 100% with the checkout add-on or the Meridian Pro programme |
10 · Sizes
Meridian Funded account sizes and scaling rules
What is available at purchase and what the account can become. A ceiling without a published trigger is not a plan.
| Firm | Account sizes | Scaling or total ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | $10K to $500K | Up to $5,000,000 via Meridian Pro: +25% each time 10% profit is made within 3 months; up to 20 accounts |
11 · Platforms
Meridian Funded platform rules
Where the trading happens, which quietly sets your order types, your automation options and your execution quality.
| Firm | Platforms |
|---|---|
| Meridian Funded | MetaTrader 5; cTrader also listed in the homepage challenge selector |
12 · Suitability
Who the Meridian Funded rules suit
Traders whose edge is concentrated in a few sessions a month, because the evaluation does not penalise a large winning day. Swing traders, because weekend holding is allowed and the floor locks. And anyone who has failed an evaluation on a rule they did not know existed, because there are fewer rules here to not know about.
Match the rule set to your own method rather than to a score. The two fields that decide it for most traders are the consistency rule and whether the maximum loss locks, because those are the two that can end an account you are trading correctly. Everything else is a preference.
FAQ
Meridian Funded rules: frequently asked questions
Does Meridian Funded have a consistency rule?
Published position: None in evaluation or on Instant Zero. What decides suitability is not the percentage but the shape and the timing: a cap on your best day is survivable, a cap on your best trade is not, and a rule that only appears on the funded account was never tested by the evaluation you paid for.
What is the maximum drawdown at Meridian Funded?
Published figure: 6% trailing to 10% static; Instant Zero 5%. Convert it into one question: how much can I lose from my worst realistic moment before this account closes. A wide static floor usually answers that better than a narrow trailing one, even though the narrow one looks safer on a comparison page.
What is the daily loss limit at Meridian Funded?
Published figure: 2.5% to 5%. Flatten before the reset on days you are already down. A loss that straddles the reset can be charged in a way that eats into an allowance you thought was untouched.
How many trading days does Meridian Funded require?
Published position: 3 per phase; none on Instant Zero. A firm that sells an add-on removing its own minimum day requirement has priced the rule, which tells you how binding it considers it. That is useful information even if you never buy the add-on.
How fast does Meridian Funded pay out?
Published commitment: Within 12h. Finish identity verification while the evaluation is running. Administrative holds are the most common reason a first payout is late, and they are entirely avoidable.
What is the profit split at Meridian Funded?
Published range: 80% to 90%, up to 100%. Compare the rate that applies to your first payout without buying an upgrade and without meeting a performance condition, because that figure is usually well below the number on the homepage and it is the one you will actually be paid.
