E8 Markets rules at a glance

02 · What stands out
What stands out in the E8 Markets rulebook
No consistency rule applies in the challenge and there is no minimum trading day requirement, so a trader who reaches the target immediately is funded immediately. Payouts can be requested from day three, and daily on the E8 Pro programme, which is the fastest first request cycle in this directory.
The price of that speed is the floor: 3% to 6% maximum loss with a 2.5% to 4% daily limit is the tightest pair on this page. On a 3% floor, two ordinary losing days can end the account. Consistency of 35% to 40% appears on some funded plans, so check the funded column before designing a strategy around the challenge.
Compare against the least constrained rulebook here
Meridian Funded sits first in this directory because of what its rules do not contain: no consistency requirement in evaluation, no minimum days on Instant Zero, and a floor that locks rather than ratchets.
03 · Max loss
E8 Markets maximum drawdown rules
Where the account dies. Read the type column before the number, because a wide static floor beats a narrow trailing one in almost every realistic sequence of trades.
| Firm and plan | Max loss | Type |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets One / Pro / Signature | 6% / 6% / 3% | Dynamic / static / end-of-day |
04 · Daily loss
E8 Markets daily loss limit and reset
The rule traders break most often, and usually not because they lost too much. They break it because they did not know when the trading day started.
| Firm | Daily loss limit | Reset / basis |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | 4% (One), 2.5% (Pro) | not published |
05 · Consistency
E8 Markets consistency rule
Whether a consistency requirement exists, what the percentage is, and whether it applies during the evaluation or only once funded.
| Firm | Rule | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | 40% (One), 35% (Signature) | Performance stage |
06 · Minimum days
E8 Markets minimum trading days
How long the firm insists on watching before it hands over an account or a payout. Check what makes a day count, because the definitions differ.
| Firm | During the evaluation | Before a funded payout |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | Pass in as little as 1 day | None on E8 Pro |
07 · Trading rules
E8 Markets news, weekend and automation rules
Three permissions that decide whether a strategy is possible here: trading a release, carrying a position through the weekend, and running code.
| Field | Published figure | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Plans published | Single-phase only | Published on the plan pages |
| Basis and detail | not published | Ask support and keep the reply |
Not published in a form that can be quoted. Ask support whether news trading, weekend holding and expert advisors are permitted on funded accounts, and keep the reply.
Ask support for this figure in writing before buying, and keep the reply. A dated answer from support is the only version of a rulebook you can point to later.
08 · Payouts
E8 Markets payout rules and cycle
What the firm promises on withdrawals, and when the clock on your first one actually starts.
| Firm | Processing promise | When you can request |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | not published | First payout from 3 days; daily on E8 Pro |
09 · Split
E8 Markets profit split rules
The default split and the route to the advertised maximum. Compare what you receive on the first payout, without buying an upgrade.
| Firm | Default split | How the top split is reached |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | 80% | Up to 100% on some products; condition not published |
10 · Sizes
E8 Markets account sizes and scaling rules
Account sizes and the route upward. Buying a mid size account and scaling on a published trigger usually beats buying the largest plan outright.
| Firm | Account sizes | Scaling or total ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| E8 Markets | $5K to $500K | not published |
11 · Platforms
E8 Markets platform rules
Where you will actually be executing. Run the demo before the evaluation, because ten minutes there says more than any comparison table.
| Firm | Platforms |
|---|---|
| E8 Markets | MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader |
12 · Suitability
Who the E8 Markets rules suit
Disciplined intraday traders with small per trade risk who want money out quickly. Entirely unsuitable for anyone who needs room to be wrong more than twice.
Match the rule set to your own method rather than to a score. The two fields that decide it for most traders are the consistency rule and whether the maximum loss locks, because those are the two that can end an account you are trading correctly. Everything else is a preference.
13 · Compared
E8 Markets rules compared with Meridian Funded
The same seven fields, read from both rulebooks on the same date. Meridian Funded holds first position here on its published rules, so the comparison shows the distance to the least constrained set in the index.
| Rule | Meridian Funded | E8 Markets |
|---|---|---|
| Models | 1, 2, 3-Step, Instant, Instant Zero | Single-phase only |
| Maximum loss | 6% trailing to 10% static; Instant Zero 5% | 3% to 6% |
| Daily loss | 2.5% to 5% | 2.5% to 4% |
| Consistency | None in evaluation or on Instant Zero | None in challenge; 35% to 40% on some funded |
| Minimum days | 3 per phase; none on Instant Zero | None |
| Profit split | 80% to 90%, up to 100% | 80%, up to 100% |
| Payouts | Within 12h | From 3 days; daily on E8 Pro |
Start at the consistency row, then the maximum loss row. If both suit you at either firm, the remaining rows are preference rather than survival.
FAQ
E8 Markets rules: frequently asked questions
Does E8 Markets have a consistency rule?
Published position: None in challenge; 35% to 40% on some funded. If your profit tends to arrive in one or two sessions a month, this is the field that decides whether the account is usable. Read it before the price, the split and the account size.
What is the maximum drawdown at E8 Markets?
Published figure: 3% to 6%. Size your positions against this number rather than against the profit target. The target decides whether you pass, the floor decides whether you are still there to try.
What is the daily loss limit at E8 Markets?
Published figure: 2.5% to 4%. Check whether unrealised losses on a position opened yesterday count toward today's limit. On an equity basis they do, which changes how a multi day position should be sized.
How many trading days does E8 Markets require?
Published position: None. If you reach the target in two sessions, this rule decides how long you wait afterwards. That waiting period is traded at full risk, which is a cost worth pricing before buying.
How fast does E8 Markets pay out?
Published commitment: From 3 days; daily on E8 Pro. Finish identity verification while the evaluation is running. Administrative holds are the most common reason a first payout is late, and they are entirely avoidable.
What is the profit split at E8 Markets?
Published range: 80%, up to 100%. Compare the rate that applies to your first payout without buying an upgrade and without meeting a performance condition, because that figure is usually well below the number on the homepage and it is the one you will actually be paid.
