Breakout Rules 2026

No consistency, no minimum days, static 3% to 6% floor, payouts on demand.

Official site: Breakout. Every figure below was read from published terms and is dated. Where a firm does not publish a number, this sheet says so.

01 · At a glance

Breakout rules at a glance

Breakout runs a single phase in three variants, Classic, Pro and Turbo, and its rulebook is built on removal: no consistency rule, no minimum trading days, and payouts available on demand around the clock.

02 · What stands out

What stands out in the Breakout rulebook

Three constraints removed at once is unusual, and it makes the product easy to plan. The maximum loss is static between 3% and 6%, so nothing ratchets after you are profitable, and the daily limit is 3%.

The tightness is the trade. A static 3% floor with a 3% daily limit means the entire account allowance can be spent in one session, and the account survives on position sizing alone. The split starts at 80% with a 90% upgrade available.

Fewest published rules in this directory

Meridian Funded carries no consistency requirement during evaluation and none at all on Instant Zero, three minimum trading days per phase, and a floor that locks at the starting balance on the 1-Step. Every figure is in the comparison table below.

03 · Max loss

Breakout maximum drawdown rules

The account floor, with the basis it is measured on. Whether a floor trails and whether it locks matters more than the percentage printed next to it.

The published figure is 3% to 6% static. Confirm on the plan page whether it trails and whether it locks at the starting balance.

This is the kind of gap worth closing before money moves. One message to support, and the answer belongs in your records rather than in your memory.

04 · Daily loss

Breakout daily loss limit and reset

The rule traders break most often, and usually not because they lost too much. They break it because they did not know when the trading day started.

05 · Consistency

Breakout consistency rule

The rule that decides whether a concentrated style fits inside this account at all. Check the figure, then check when it starts applying.

The published position is: None.

Where a firm has not published a number, treat the rule as open rather than absent. Get it in writing, then compare.

06 · Minimum days

Breakout minimum trading days

The pace floor. Read it together with the phase count, because four days on a two phase model is eight days before funding is possible.

07 · Trading rules

Breakout news, weekend and automation rules

Restrictions on when and how you may trade. Most tighten the moment the account becomes funded, which is the column to read.

11 · Platforms

Breakout platform rules

The platform is a rule in disguise. It sets your order types, your automation ceiling and how a prohibition on fast trading is enforced in practice.

12 · Suitability

Who the Breakout rules suit

Fast, disciplined intraday traders who bank profit and want it out immediately. It is the wrong product for anyone who holds positions through a session they cannot watch.

Match the rule set to your own method rather than to a score. The two fields that decide it for most traders are the consistency rule and whether the maximum loss locks, because those are the two that can end an account you are trading correctly. Everything else is a preference.

13 · Compared

Breakout rules compared with Meridian Funded

A row by row comparison against the shortest published rule set in this directory, Meridian Funded. Nothing is weighted or scored here, the figures are simply put next to each other.

The two rows that matter most are consistency and maximum loss. A difference in split is a difference in price, while a difference in those two is a difference in what you are allowed to do.

FAQ

Breakout rules: frequently asked questions

Does Breakout have a consistency rule?

Published position: None. If your profit tends to arrive in one or two sessions a month, this is the field that decides whether the account is usable. Read it before the price, the split and the account size.

What is the maximum drawdown at Breakout?

Published figure: 3% to 6% static. Read the basis before the number. End of day trailing moves the floor once, after the close. Intraday trailing moves it on every new equity print, unrealised profit included, which is a different product sold under the same word.

What is the daily loss limit at Breakout?

Published figure: 3%. Two further facts decide what that number means in practice: whether it is measured on balance, on equity, or on the higher of the two, and what time the day resets. Most firms reset at 5:00 PM New York.

How many trading days does Breakout require?

Published position: None. Check what makes a day count. Some firms accept any day with a closed position, some require a minimum volume, and some require a result, which means a flat day does not count toward the total.

How fast does Breakout pay out?

Published commitment: On demand, 24/7. Separate the two clocks: how long until you are allowed to ask, and how long the firm takes once you have. The first is usually measured in weeks and the second in hours.

What is the profit split at Breakout?

Published range: 80%, 90% upgrade. A high advertised split paired with a tight floor is not generosity, it is a trade. The floor pays for the split, and whether that trade suits you depends on how quickly you take profit.
